"My wife and I made the difficult decision to downsize after almost 40 years in the same house. We had delayed the move because of the difficulty of dealing with the mountains of “stuff” in our house. Carolyn Neale and her staff came to our rescue! They were caring, congenial and efficient. They carefully packed everything to be moved - dishes, clothing, pots and pans, brick-a brack and all. It was all unpacked and put in place in our new apartment. The movers they recommended were great, all furniture moved without a scratch. Our move was accomplished more quickly and easily than we thought possible.
The Estate Sale which followed was easy (for us). It produced a lot more money than we could have hoped - the advertising and staging were obviously effective. Carolyn’s team took care of everything, and then finished completely clearing the house for its new owners.
We heartily recommend Compassionate Downsizing 4 Seniors"

"We recently moved out of our 38-year old house in Melbourne and Ms. Neale and her team provided advice, recommendations and support. They were thorough, courteous, professional, packed all household items carefully and in the quoted time. All crystal, Lladros, glasses, pictures and other fragile items reached their destination safely and nothing broke. The estate sale proceeded as expected with very good results. I would strongly recommend Compassionate Downsizing 4 Seniors to anyone planning to move. Thank you."

"I'd highly recommend this company to anyone! You can count on them to do a great job with a smile on their face. My siblings and I hired them to move our mother out of our family home. We all live far away and couldn't be there for the majority of the move. Heather and Carolyn did a great job of guiding my mom through downsizing and sorting through 30 years of memories. Throughout the whole process, they were very responsive and made sure the process was smooth. I can't recommend them enough!"

I honestly don't know what I would have done without them, they are real professionals which doesn't detract at all from their kindness. Thank you all so much!!"

"Carolyn and her team were amazing to work with during a difficult time. If you need to downsize and or transition a loved one to a smaller home or Alf, which includes having an estate sale and clean out of old home…these ladies are the best!"

"A note to say thanks to you and Heather for your help as we planned and executed our relocation from Florida to Lancaster, PA. Your help with “downsizing” to begin was helpful to eliminate packing and shipping things we would never use again. We greatly appreciated your diligence in getting donations to the organizations that make the best use of various items.
While you told us not to stress we did anyway. However, at the end of the process everything was packed, donated or sold and the condo was cleared out on schedule with a couple of days to clean and prepare for closing.
Best to you and your business in the days to come. Many people can use this kind of help."

"I have been a fan of Carolyn for several years. We met at one of her amazing estate sales, and my husband and I formed an informal bond with her. My husband would find chairs that needed upholstery, and he would renew those chairs and sell them. I was always interested in interesting things that other folks had, so I always found something to play with.
Little did I realize that I would lose my husband suddenly, and need Carolyn's help to close that part of my life.
When I called her, she came immediately to help me figure out what to leave for my own estate sale, and that's when I discovered she also helps sell houses for the folks who need to move on. Her daughter, Heather, was so amazing to jump in, also. She helped watch my dog while I was out of state working, and when it came time to move, she and Paloma packed my stuff, and loaded it into my moving truck. In my case, I moved to a different state, but Carolyn checked my house frequently, obtained repairs as needed, and was so amazing to get a sale as quickly as possible. I can never say enough about these wonderful, wonderful women. I really don't think I would have survived that horrific time in my life if not for them. Not only the amazing help, but the compassion, caring and true love they showered on me helped to save me from doing something terrible. I recommend calling Carolyn, and discover for yourself how wonderful she and her team are. They will truly help and care for you."

"Carolyn, I just wanted to take a moment to thank you for all the time and hard work you did for my mother. You went over and above the call of duty. Way over! To say that you were a tremendous help would be a huge understatement. And you didn't just help my mother, you helped the whole family. I can never thank you enough for everything, but I'm trying to now. It was an absolute pleasure doing business with you. If I ever know anyone that needs assistance of this type, I would recommend you without hesitation.
Thanks again"

"Carolyn is so professional she knows what she's doing, and is such a sweet lady. She works with you all along the way. Having an estate sale is so hard on the family that is leaving their possessions behind. She makes it easy on you. Fully recommend having her work for you. You won't regret it"

"Carolyn Neale and her team were recommended to me by our Move Manager in St. Petersburg, FL. I could not have been more pleased. I was moving my mother across the state, and Carolyn's team did all the packing for us. Not only were they totally organized and efficient, they were kind to my mother and Carolyn provided me (the daughter) with invaluable advice on how to prepare my mother's place for the move. Everything arrived in the new apartment wonderfully packed and clearly marked. I would highly recommend Compassionate Downsizing 4 Seniors to anyone preparing to move a loved one"

"Fantastic! That is the only way to describe our experience with Carolyn.
Mom had moved up to New Hampshire two years ago and recently decided at 82 it was time to sell her house in Florida.
We faced the daunting task of trying to figure out how to clean out her house, what to keep, what to sell and what to donate. Then, getting the house ready for sale from up north all while trying to work full time.
We found the Compassionate Downsizing 4 Seniors website and because of the testimonials and reviews on multiple sites, decided to give it a try. We communicated by phone, text and email and were able to coordinate one flight with Mom down to Florida so she could meet Carolyn, feel comfortable with the process, decide what to keep and then let Carolyn do her thing.
From there Carolyn took care of everything from estate sale, donation, cleaning, repairing, and problem solving to selling Mom’s house in a very short period of time. Carolyn kept us informed every step of the way.
If you are looking for resourceful, high energy, compassionate and organized professionals. Carolyn and CD4S are the way to go."

"If you are looking for someone who is incredibly professional, good humored, trustworthy, capable and resourceful, look no further than Carolyn Neale of Compassionate Downsizing 4 Seniors. We had the daunting task of cleaning out my Mom's house and getting it ready for sale in preparation for moving her into assisted living. We live in New Jersey so it was important to have someone who could be on-site, figure out what to do and be completely trusted to take care of everything without us having to be there. We had no idea where to start--until someone referred us to Carolyn. From the largest to the smallest detail, Carolyn took care of it for us. Things that I fretted and stressed about for months were absolutely no problem for Carolyn and her amazing network of resources. She was full of great advice, was honest about what we could expect, followed through on every promise and was able to take care of such a diverse array of needs that I even added things to my list that I was going to try and do myself later. Don't worry about everything you need to do--just contact Carolyn. She was a Godsend."

"Carolyn is extremely professional and very polite. She was amazing to work with. Carolyn had the task of moving my 95 year old mother from Florida to Baltimore. She was extremely patient in working with my Mom and very efficient. We could not have done the move without Carolyn. Carolyn has followed up on every detail imaginable and completed the task with dignity and grace. I would highly recommend Carolyn to anyone who needs such assistance. Moves are traumatic for anyone especially, someone who is 95 and lived in their own home for 30 years and moving to assisted living.
It was such a great relief for me as the daughter living in Baltimore to have met and worked with Carolyn Neale. Many thanks to Carolyn and her team from our family."

"Now that the move of my parents from Florida to back home in Massachusetts is complete I wanted to write you and again express how grateful we all are for your help and compassion during this transition period in my parents lives. I knew early on in the process that once my mother said she liked you that we had made the right decision, she doesn't hand out accolades that easily!
On a personal note you helped put my mind at ease knowing there was someone near my parents helping them out during this trying time. As I reflect back in all that is needed to execute a move from dealing with the cable company to trying to sell a car there is no way we would have been able to do any of that with out you. Once again, thank you, thank, thank you!"

"I want to thank you and your staff for all your help in my downsizing. You and your staff were a Godsend moving from a 3400 sq foot home to a new home of approximately 1700 sq foot. Without your help I don't think I could have managed. The estate sale you set up and managed went off without a hitch. The entire process was very professional and all your associates were courteous and knowledgeable. Again thank you for a job well done. "

"I am a 68 year-old widower moving from Florida to Virginia. I was downsizing from a 4 bedroom house to a 1 bedroom apt. I was overwhelmed with the challenge of downsizing, and all the things needed to be done for my long distance move. Carolyn literally came to my physical and mental rescue. She was instrumental in helping me make important decisions concerning downsizing. Furthermore, her company did all my packing, secured an interstate moving company, conducted a successful estate sale and cleaned my house. I highly recommend her company. PS. Receiving a sizable check from the estate sale for which I didn't have to do a thing, was a bonus."

"Carolyn and her team brought a level of professionalism and care when assisting my 85 year old Aunt relocate that made a very tough situation doable for us. From managing the packing for precious items to be shipped, to the complete removal of items to donate or sell the team was flawless and timely. Carolyn kept me informed of the status as every step of the process via, phone, text and email. As the project manager Carolyn interfaced with the management team at my aunt's assisted living facility making sure all parties were informed and coordinated ensuring as little disruption to the other residents as possible. I could not have made this move happen with the team."

"When I first spoke to Carolyn Neale I told her of the help I needed it was a story she heard many times over, her specialty. My parents had a house full of stuff that had to be emptied and a father that wanted to keep everything. My parents were the neatest hoarders. Every nook and cranny filled but never obvious to visitors. Carolyn took it from there and I never had to worry about another thing, she had my complete trust. Carolyn and her fantastic crew diligently went through all those nooks and crannies for weeks and had an amazing estate sale. And thanks to hurricane Irma they had to work through extra sale days. By the time it was over the house was empty, clean, and ready to show. I simply cannot say enough good things about them. I highly recommend Compassionate Downsizing 4 Seniors."

"Carolyn and her company, Compassionate Downsizing 4 Seniors, are a true gift to a family that needs to help aged parents downsize and move. Carolyn will pack, move the clients in to the new place, and if applicable, is able to act as realtor to sell the former residence.
My personal experience: Carolyn was recommended to us, we made an appt and Carolyn came to my mother's condo. She has a great presence, and easily offers ideas to the potential client (Mom). She assesses the individual needs, desires and goals, and a plan of action is made. For my mother, the first big challenge was in helping my mother decide what she truly wanted to move with her to the assisted living apartment. There was significant downsizing involved. Carolyn made suggestions re: family items/keepsakes, and giving family members time to collect items designated by Mom.
Time, compassion, repetition, patience and understanding, were shown to Mom throughout this whole process.
Carolyn was a great help to me, in working with Mom through this very difficult time. Mom's caregiver was her husband, who was now bedridden - requiring extended medical care. Mom was faced with needing to move from her home of over 30 yrs.
Thirty years in that condo, and a lifetime of collections and treasures. Mom is 92, and very set in her ways. She could be quite challenging to please. But Carolyn Neale was awesome, efficient, thoughtful.... And my hero!
I was with Mom, having come to Fl from out of state, to help her through this very rough time of her life. I was extremely relieved to have Carolyn to help navigate us through this process.
Once Mom was settled in her new apartment, Carolyn handled the estate sale, the preparation involved in readying the condo for sale, then took on the role of Realtor, and sold the condo.
It was a real pleasure working with Carolyn. From start to finish, Carolyn was helpful, kind, available, and professional.
If it is that time in your life, or the life of your loved one, and needing to downsize and move, I wholeheartedly recommend Compassionate Downsizing 4 Seniors. (One - stop shopping! They do it all!)"

"Thank you, Carolyn! In just 2 months, you sorted through everything in my 91-year-old father-in-law's 3 bedroom house, held an estate sale, donated what didn't sell, had the house cleaned and painted, and listed and sold it for more than the asking price.
When my sister-in-law and I first met with you we felt a sense of relief. You were confident and professional and friendly. You answered our questions (and those we didn't know to ask). You kept us informed throughout the process. And except for that first meeting, we stayed at home in MD and PA and you took care of everything and did it with a sense of humor. Thank you for making a stressful situation as easy and calm as possible."

"I have moved my now 89 year old precious mother 5 times over the years, and she is a collector. At times she moved in to a larger home; other times required some downsizing. Much of her personal property is fragile and requires special handling. The task has been monumental.
Over the last few years she has become increasingly less able to care for herself and it was time to find assisted living accommodations for her. My brother (who lives many states away) and I knew it was the right thing for her. But we’re both in our sixties now and the thought of the physical and emotional effort to accomplish another of these moves was both daunting and disheartening.
A friend who is a moving professional suggested I call Carolyn Neale, Compassionate Downsizing 4 Seniors. Boy was he right! Carolyn is a take charge; let’s get this done – but insightful and compassionate - facilitator. She took a holistic approach, considering the contents of Mothers fully furnished and decorated 2 bedroom apartment, a storage unit packed to capacity, and Mother's new room at the Assisted Living Facility.
Carolyn handled the move to Mothers new quarters – set up her room – and showcased many of Mothers favorite pieces. Then she cleared the storage unit – broom clean – and organized, advertised and completed an Estate Sale. This sale paid for the movers, Carolyn’s fees, and – put money in the bank to help us pay for Mothers care.
Carolyn communicated with us every step of the way. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Carolyn to anyone facing this very difficult but necessary transition. She is “Compassionate Downsizing 4 Seniors!”.

"Look no further!! If you need help -- cleaning out a home, an estate sale, moving, etc -- you've
found the perfect person!
Carolyn Neale can and does DO IT ALL. She did a wonderful job of organizing, selling, moving,
and getting rid of the things that didn't sell at the estate sale.
She is great about communicating what she will do and she is good with the follow-through, too.
I had an excellent experience and I highly recommend Carolyn."

"Carolyn,
Thank you so much for all your help. Getting my mother downsized into something less than half the size of what she moved from probably wouldn't have happened had it not been for you. Helping her sort through what to take and what to leave, packing it all, unpacking it all. What can I say? I live & work two states away; we couldn't have done it without you. "

"I wanted to take the time to tell you about Carolyn and Donna at Compassionate Downsizing 4 Seniors. My father passed away in 2007 while I was living in Nevada. Mom was healthy and was able to start to put her life together after his passing through her friends and her church. She continued to live in her house and lead a very active lifestyle. However, with the loss of her driver's license, and deterioration of her health, it became clear that she could no longer live by herself. I started looking online for people certified in professional organizing and moving seniors. I contacted several, but when I talked with Donna, I knew that I had the best fit for my mom. She contacted my mother and started planning her move. After several years of trying to move my mom out of the house, both Carolyn and Donna were able to do what I could not. In those final days of the move, Carolyn took over. She was there for my mom, coordinating with her own team to accomplish the move and also work with the movers. I cannot tell you what a wonderful feeling it was for my mother and I when we walked in for the first time to mother's new place. All the furniture was arranged the way that my mother had wanted, pictures were hung on the wall, all clothes were hung in the closets, all toiletries were unpacked and in their place in the bathrooms, and all of the kitchen items were unpacked and in the drawers and pantry. Not only that, all the beds were made (including the bedspread!) There are no words to express my gratitude. Once the move was finished, we then worked with Carolyn to coordinate and put on an estate sale for the items that my mother wanted to sell or donate. Carolyn staged the items in the house and worked some long hours to make it all happen. In addition, she helped coordinate cleaning up the house so that it would be ready to be placed on the market for sale. She accomplished things that I would not have been able to do based on the number of miles that I live away from my mother. Carolyn still keeps in touch with mother and they have become friends. If any of you have loved ones that are seniors, I can say that not only are Donna & Carolyn compassionate and understanding, they are people you can put your trust in for honesty, fairness, and professionalism. They will do the best job around! Thank you so much Carolyn & Donna!"

"What a nice experience I had working with both Carolyn and Donna. My husband suddenly passed away and I was just not up to the task of selling everything. The girls stepped in and took care of everything. When in doubt of how much something might be worth, they got on line and did their homework. I would recommend these two women any day to do your estate sale. They also actually made me more money than I expected. Five stars for you two."

"Donna and Carolyn are lifesavers!! While my mom was in rehab recovering from a fall, they went into her home that she has lived in and kept items for the last 40 years. They sorted through her items and separated into keep, donate, and discard. Boxes of donations were dropped off at Goodwill and the Women’s Center Thrift Store in Melbourne, which will help both those organizations raise funds to help people in need. And mom still has all her favorite items waiting for her when she comes home. This overwhelming task was made manageable by their presence and expertise. I would highly recommend both Donna and Carolyn and Compassionate Downsizing 4 Seniors to any family member in the same situation, or to a senior that just wants to organize their “stuff”."

“When both my parents moved into a nursing home within two months of each other, I was suddenly faced with managing all their finances, their property and bills and nursing home care. What made it more of a challenge is that I live overseas.
I could not have managed without Carolyn’s research and advice on everything, even their reverse mortgage, insurance and other financial issues. With her ‘big picture’ view, I felt better prepared for what lay ahead. As both my parents’ conditions deteriorated, it was obvious that I had to prepare the house to sell. What a task! An estate sale of the contents was organized and the profits went towards my parents’ care. Carolyn is extremely knowledgeable, resourceful and organized. She was an invaluable resource, and I could not thank her enough.”

"When our mother passed away suddenly in the midst of her estate planning, Carolyn was a God-send to us! She had an understanding of our mother’s situation and guided us through her thoughts and documents. She sat up with us at crazy hours to be sure we understood our options and had all the information we needed. Then she helped us locate a house for our brother in the area, in addition to sorting through the piles of things our mother left behind in order to prepare that house to sell. Through all of it she has been a wonderful partner, looking out for our best interests and helping us make sense of it all, while we continue to live in another state. Thank you, Carolyn, we don’t know what we would have done without you!"
